Employment

Our Employment solicitors provide legal advice to both employers and employees in all employment matters.

How we can help

Whether you are an organisation, business owner, senior executive, employee or consultant, our Employment lawyers have the depth of knowledge and expertise to advise you on a wide range of employment and related issues. We will review each situation to understand your specific requirements and will advise and deal with the matter in a cost effective, commercial and sensitive manner.

Our Employment lawyers have a wealth of experience in advising employers ranging from small businesses to large corporate entities in a broad range of different sectors. We provide day to day and ad hoc advice on employment law and HR issues in addition to advising and/ or dealing with larger projects such as redundancy processes or employment law requirements under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (“TUPE”). We have long standing business clients who regularly instruct us in relation to all of their employment and HR needs.

Employment Law can be a complex and fast changing area of law, it is essential to ensure that your business is fully compliant and is able to meet it’s responsibilities as an employer. To this end, we assist with such matters as the drafting and implementation of the necessary documentation for employees such as contracts of employment, service and consultancy agreements and employee handbooks with policies and procedures, some of which are required by law.

In terms of advising employees, we aim to ensure that employees know exactly where they stand legally and what their options are, from the day they first get in touch with us. In minor or straightforward matters, we empower our employee clients at the very first meeting to go on to handle their own situation directly and thus achieving substantial cost savings. We’re always pleased to assist on an ‘as needed’ basis. With more complicated matters, we will assist employee clients throughout the internal grievance, disciplinary, capability, redundancy, retirement or other procedure and, if necessary, through tribunal or Court proceedings.
