Residential Re-mortgages

Our Residential Property solicitors advise and deal with re-mortgaging.

How we can help

Re-mortgaging is where the owner of a property changes from one lender to another. Usually, this is done to obtain a better rate mortgage, or to borrow extra money to carry out alterations or extensions to a property, for example. A re-mortgage may be with your existing lender, or a different lender.

When considering a re-mortgage, you should think about what type of mortgage may interest you – i.e. fixed rate, or variable rate. An independent financial adviser will be able to give you advice on the range of mortgage products available.

Our Residential Property lawyers are experienced in dealing with re-mortgages and will provide clear and practical advice from the outset. We are on the panels of all the major lenders (bank or building society) and will guide you through the process and paperwork, while keeping you informed on the progress of your application.
